Frederico '24 Wins Bronze at World Rowing Cup 1 - Syracuse University Athletics
Syracuse alumna Emmie Frederico '24 earned bronze in the women's eight at the World Rowing Cup 1 in Varese, Italy, this past weekend. Frederico also placed sixth in the grand final of the women's pair representing Australia in both events.
Czech rowers won two bronze medals in the opening race of the World Cup in Varese. Third place in Italy was taken by Pavlína Flamíková and Anna Šantrůčková in the coxless pair category, as well as the pair four consisting of Terezie Janštová, Michala Pospíšilová, Alžběta Zavadilová, and Markéta Nedělová.
Rowers Pavlína Flamíková and Anna Šantrůčková took third place in the coxless pair category in the first World Cup race in Varese. The Czech representatives were not enough for the dominant Italians Laura Merianová, Alica Codatová and the Dutch pair Nika Johanna Vosová, Linn van Aanholtová.
