Czech rowers won two bronze medals in the opening race of the World Cup in Varese. Third place in Italy was taken by Pavlína Flamíková and Anna Šantrůčková in the coxless pair category, as well as the pair four consisting of Terezie Janštová, Michala Pospíšilová, Alžběta Zavadilová, and Markéta Nedělová.
