- On August 6, 2025, Shiv Sena extended unconditional support to the NDA for the Vice Presidential election, announced by Eknath Shinde in New Delhi.
- Following the July 21, 2025, resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar due to health reasons, the vice presidential vacancy arose, prompting alliance discussions.
- With an electoral college of 786, the NDA has support from 422 members, ensuring a comfortable majority in the vice presidential election.
