Sheltered housing is being closed: "Risk of women staying in violent relationships"

Several shelters for women and children exposed to violence have been forced to close since stricter legal requirements were introduced last year. This is most clearly felt in northern Sweden, according to the organization Unizon. “A fairly large part of Sweden is being left without local support and help,” says Olga Persson, Unizon’s chairwoman.
