Cyclone Ditwah: Flights, Trains Cancelled as Storm Approaches Indian Coasts; IMD Issues Red Alert in These Areas
Tamil Nadu has deployed 28 rescue teams and issued red alerts as Cyclone Ditwah threatens heavy rainfall and strong winds across southern and delta districts, officials said.

- Stalin urged the public to avoid stepping out unless absolutely necessary with extremely heavy rainfall expected in Chennai and several southern districts, advising residents to follow IMD warnings and stay safe November 29–30.
- Following a Thursday high-level meeting, officials deployed ministers in charge and senior officials to vulnerable districts and assured that Chennai arrangements are fully in place.
