The Provincial Court of Camagüey (Cuba) sentenced a citizen to life imprisonment for the crimes of "terrorism, carrying and illegal possession of weapons or explosives" after he stabbed a police officer, causing her serious injuries, official media reported on Tuesday.

The official version links the attack to a citizen residing abroad who allegedly had 'extensive activism against the Cuban Revolution'.
