Emily and Shawn adopted a dog that was rescued by the organization We Love Satos from the woods in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The long distance adoption was because Nina is a special needs dog. Her eyelids do not cover her eyes, her mouth doesn't cover her snaggleteeth, and she has very little hair.
