- Winter referred to his intended assault as "Doomsday," planning to plant explosives in every alternate classroom and then use firearms to "clear out" the area beginning on the second floor, according to prosecutors.
- The court heard Winter was vulnerable, autistic, radicalised by pro-Nazi online groups, and progressing toward a mass shooting, while his defence argued his actions stemmed from his condition and grooming.
