Sask. premier says he hears 'message' in byelection upsets
- Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe's Saskatchewan Party lost two out of three provincial byelections, which sent a message about the cost of living and housing being significant issues for voters in urban ridings.
- The opposition NDP won the urban constituencies of Regina Walsh Acres and Regina Coronation Park, capturing more than half the vote. The newly-formed Saskatchewan United Party also gained over 20% of the byelection vote in a traditionally Sask. Party stronghold.
- Moe acknowledged the concerns expressed by voters and stated that it is now up to the Saskatchewan government to listen to the message and take action.
