SANDY, UTAH- Sandy's Police Department is asking for community help in preventing theft of valuables within cars. Officials said that most car thefts occur when valuables are left in sight or doors are unlocked. Police's recommendation to avoid being a victim of theft: Always lock doors. Remove valuables, even if you walk away just for a moment. Don't leave open cars unattended.
