Extremadura will receive part of the extraordinary funds that will finance the Industrial and Technological Plan for Security and Defence to which the Council of Ministers of this Tuesday gave light. It will do so through the Corridor de la Plata, made up of the Extremaduran community, Castilla y León, Asturias and Andalusia, which the government considers "in consolidation phase", according to the official document made public by Moncloa.

It also includes a provision to increase the budget of the CNI or to send military aid to Ukraine to combat the Russian invasion.

On Wednesday, the government sent to the European Union and NATO the industrial and technological plan for security and defence, with 10,471 million euros, with which it expects to reach 2% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in military expenditure, as required by the commitments made by the countries of the Atlantic Alliance.
