Irish airline Ryanair, Europe's largest airline, reported a 80 percent year-on-year drop in net profit to 30 million euros (729 million crowns) in the third quarter of its financial year. The drop was mainly due to a large fine the company received in Italy, Ryanair said in its earnings report on Monday. Revenues rose nine percent to 3.21 billion euros (78 billion crowns) and the company expects a significant increase in ticket prices.
Irish low-cost airline Ryanair reported a profit after tax of 30 million euros in the third quarter of last year, down from 149 million euros in the same period the year before, helped by a fine imposed by Italy for abusing its market position.
