The U.S. and Russia apparently agreed on a joint statement on Ukraine. The paper is due to be published on Tuesday. The meeting in the Saudi capital Riyadh took about twelve hours. In the discussion, it was to be a ceasefire as a first step towards a possible end to the more than three years of Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. On Sunday, the U.S. negotiators in Riyadh had first spoken with representatives from Kiev.
