On Wednesday, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs convened the Ambassador of Japan, A. Muto, in connection with a series of military exercises with live fire recorded near the Russian border, which pose "a danger" to "the integrity of citizens and the security of transport".
"Unresponsive actions of this kind along the Russian border constitute a clear violation of international law, create direct risks for transport and endanger the lives and physical integrity of Russian citizens," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moscow stated in a communiqué.
