VRT sports journalist Ruben Van Gucht has been given an eight-day driving ban and a fine for using his mobile phone while driving. The Mechelen police judge ruled this. His vehicle also lacked a roadworthiness test. The public prosecutor's office was harsh on Van Gucht: "He's been to every police court in Flanders and Belgium."
