Opera Maine and Portland Symphony Orchestra are both celebrating milestone anniversaries and will join together for 2 performances of Puccini's classic opera.

The plan for how to renovate the Royal Opera in Stockholm is now complete, announced the government, the Danish National Property Office and the Opera's management at a press meeting on Wednesday morning. The opera's CEO says that the renovation is made possible by private donations of about SEK 300 million.

The Stockholm Opera is being renovated and expanded for 3.5 billion kronor. The major investment is being made possible thanks to 300 million kronor in private donations. – This is a historic day where we are charting the way forward for the Opera and the opera house, says Fredrik Lindgren, CEO of the Royal Swedish Opera, to TT.
