Romania has some of the lowest egg prices in the European Union
Romania has among the lowest egg prices in the European Union, at the farm gate, even though during this Easter period, domestic consumption increases by 50%, and a Romanian consumes, on average, approximately 30 eggs, compared to 21 in a typical month, writes Agerpres.

Romania's egg exports in 2024 amounted to more than 53 million euros, slightly increasing compared to the previous year, according to an analysis carried out by ZF based on data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
