Robbery suspect shot store clerk, then crashed backyard BBQ in Wood Village, court records allege

The barbecue get-together in Wood Village had been underway for hours when the uninvited guest walked through the home’s backyard gate sometime after 10 p.m. on Sept. 8. Witnesses later told police that the 6-foot-tall man — who was dressed in a black shirt and yellow pants, with a black mask covering his face — eased past several of the people there and asked them to be quiet, court records show.
