Revenge Porn: Texas Jury Awards $2.3M to Miami Woman

Latham litigators won a precedent-setting victory for a victim of revenge porn in what appears to be the first jury trial in the U.S. under the federal revenge porn statute, and one of just a handful under the Texas statute. The jury in Jane Doe v. Mark Gipson, case number 1:23-cv-00463-RP, awarded Doe compensatory and punitive damages totaling $2.3 million.
