Residents of Sisak dissatisfied with plans for mega-slaughterhouse, demand referendum

Several hundred people from Sisak gathered for a public hearing on the environmental impact study presented by a Ukrainian investor who plans to build a poultry processing complex with a biogas plant in the Sisak area. Many expressed their criticisms and objections, as well as concerns about the factory, which could seriously harm domestic poultry farming.
