Three students have been detained by investigators following lockdowns at two Edinburg CISD schools. The school district says Robert Vela High School was placed on a lockdown Monday to investigate a report of a weapon on campus. School district police searched the campus and did not find a weapon. Longoria Middle School was also placed on a brief lockdown following that report. The McAllen Police Department is leading the ongoing investigation.
