The AIVD and MIVD have insufficient insight into the development and use of artificial intelligence within the services, writes the Committee for the Supervision of the Intelligence and Security Services (CTIVD). The development of new AI applications is progressing faster than the creation of rules and determining how it should be used properly, states a report by the supervisory body.
In a report, the supervisor notes that regulations for the use of AI within AIVD and MIVD are behind the facts. While the proposed new intelligence law significantly expands the powers, according to the committee, employees are not sufficiently aware of the vulnerabilities.
