Last week, Red Sox pitching prospect Jeremy Wu-Yelland was named to China’s roster for the upcoming World Baseball Classic qualifiers that will be held in Tucson, Ariz., from March 2-6. Wu-Yelland was one of 14 pitchers to make the cut for China. The 25-year-old left-hander is a native of Spokane, Wash. but his mother’s side of the family is Chinese, hence the connection.
