Red Flag Warning in Effect Thursday as Temps, Gusts Rise

SWEETWATER COUNTY — The National Weather Service issued a Fed Flag Warning for much of the day Thursday, signaling an increased fire danger. The warning will be in effect from noon to 8 p.m. and covers the entirety of Sweetwater County. Portions of Uinta, Carbon, Lincoln and Sublette Counties are also impacted by the warning.

CASPER, Wyo. — The risk of wildfires is expected to rise with the temperatures in central Wyoming and Natrona County on Thursday. According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, a red flag warning will go into effect at noon today and remain until 8 p.m. Temperatures are expected to reach 93 degrees, with gusty winds of up to 30 mph in some areas.
