- The visit coincides with the 136th birth anniversary of Chi Minh, celebrating a decade of the Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, recently elevated to an Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership focused on Indo-Pacific stability.
- Singh and Giang virtually inaugurated a language lab at the Air Force Officers College, while Singh announced an artificial intelligence lab at the Telecommunications University in Nha Trang, with both sides signing an MoU on technology cooperation.
- Bilateral defence ties include India's prior delivery of 12 high-speed guard boats and the 2023 gifting of the INS Kirpan to Vietnam, as the country has expressed interest in purchasing BrahMos supersonic missiles.
- Following his stay in Vietnam, Singh will travel to South Korea for bilateral talks, a trip commemorating India's significant contributions during the Korean War and reflecting the nation's commitment to global peace.
