HYDERABAD, JUL 10 – Two auto drivers exploited elderly women by swapping genuine currency with fake notes after offering free rides, police said. One victim lost 20,000 rupees.
- Radhika Yadav, a 25-year-old former national-level tennis player, was shot dead by her father Deepak Yadav on Thursday morning at their home in Gurugram's Sector 57.
- The killing occurred after Deepak became increasingly frustrated and embarrassed by villagers' remarks about relying on Radhika for financial support, and was angered by her decision to continue running the tennis academy despite his objections.
- Deepak used his licensed.32 revolver to fire three bullets from behind while Radhika was cooking in the kitchen of their double-storey home, and she died instantly.
- After Radhika was declared dead on arrival at Asia Moringo Hospital, police were notified, leading to Deepak’s arrest. He confessed to the murder during questioning, and authorities confiscated the revolver used. The matter is now being investigated by the police station serving Sector 56.
