UNITED STATES, JUL 24 – About 851,400 diffusers are recalled due to detachable magnets that may cause serious injuries if swallowed, with no injuries reported so far, company says.
- On July 24, 2025, Pura Scents announced recalling about 851,400 Pura 4 Smart Home Fragrance Diffusers, including 1,100 sold in Canada.
- Pura Scents said that magnets on the inside cover can detach, posing an ingestion hazard to children, which can cause perforations, infection, blood poisoning, or death.
- Pura Scents reported three incidents of magnets detaching from the cover, and no injuries have been reported.
- To mitigate risk, the company recommends disposal, while Pura Scents offers a free replacement cover.
