The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has asked the court in Rotterdam to declare the platform Knaken Cryptohandel and the associated foundation bankrupt. The OM is taking this step following signals from the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) regarding a “very concerning situation” at the cryptocurrency services provider. Knaken has not obtained a license to trade cryptocurrencies and has since ceased its activities.
The Public Prosecution Service has filed for bankruptcy for crypto platform Knaken, a spokesperson for the Public Prosecution Service reports.
