Proposal to limit Belarusians' trips to their homeland - warns of recruitment threats

The Seimas National Security and Defense Committee unanimously supports the introduction of stricter sanctions against citizens of Russia and Belarus. It is proposed to no longer issue residence permits in Lithuania if they do not have a valid visa. Existing permits should be revoked if citizens of the aforementioned countries have traveled to Russia or Belarus more than once within three months.

At the beginning of 2025, approximately 12,000 Belarusian citizens lived in Georgia.
