GG to represent Australia at Pope’s funeral

Governor-General Sam Mostyn will lead Australia’s delegation to Vatican City for Pope Francis’ funeral on Saturday following the 88-year-old’s death.

The faithful will be able to bid farewell to Pope Francis, who died on Monday after 12 years at the head of the Church, in St. Peter's Basilica until Friday. The coffin with the body of the late pope was transported to the basilica from the Casa Santa Marta in the Vatican. St. Peter's Square is slowly filling with believers.
