A dangerous avalanche occurred on Broad Peak, killing renowned Polish mountaineer Waldemar Kowalewski. He suffered a serious leg injury and is currently trapped in a tent at an altitude of approximately 6,500 meters. Rescue efforts are hampered by difficult weather conditions.
