HOUSTON (KIAH) - Harris County officials are seeking to acquire about eight acres of Hermann Park to expand Ben Taub Hospital, according to the CEO of Harris Health. Before moving forward, the county must first receive approval from the City of Houston. A vote on the proposed land condemnation is scheduled for September 4. Houston Mayor John Whitmire said he is reviewing all options regarding the request.
