Spain has just hit hard. Very hard, even. The leader of a vast pirate IPTV network, active for years internationally, has been sentenced to 23 months in prison and several tens of millions of euros in sanctions.

The Spanish justice system has come down hard on the head of a pirate IPTV network. After accepting a plea agreement, the man was sentenced to 23 months in prison and fined €8.7 million. This is a particularly harsh sentence in a content piracy case.
