City of El Paso to celebrate WWII vet's 100th birthday
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will celebrate the 100th birthday of Daniel Marquez, a World War II veteran, on Thursday, July 17. She met a soldier named Roy Parke at the store, and in 1943, they got married. Helen lived with Roy’s parents on their farm in Pennsylvania until Roy returned to the states after the war ended.
