WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) -- A pedestrian who was hit by a car while crossing the street in Winston-Salem died over the weekend, according to a Winston-Salem Police Department news release. On May 19, WSPD officers responded to a crash in the 3100 block of Peters Creek Parkway. Fernando Rodriguez Garcia, 51, was crossing the road on foot when he was hit by a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser.
