Opposition Has Risen Against Votápek Among the Pirates. His Communist Past Is a Problem

The Pirates are again fighting among themselves over their connection to communism. This time, some of them are bothered by the past of the leader of the Karlovy Vary Region election candidate and former Consul General in St. Petersburg, Vladimír Votápek, who was a member of the Communist Party until 1992. They are demanding his resignation from the candidate list. However, the Pirate Party chairman Zdeněk Hřib and Votápek himself have refused.
