Izmit Mayor Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet sent a letter to the people of Izmit from Vatan Police Station after being detained following an operation at the municipality.
The statement of businessman Turgut Koç, included in the investigation file against Izmit Municipality, has emerged. In his statement, Koç stated that he lent approximately 3 kilograms of gold to Izmit Mayor Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet during the vehicle rental tender process, but never received it back.
