ChatGPT Pulse Gets You Personalized Morning Briefings Based on Your Chat, Email and Calendar Data
Pulse delivers five to ten personalized morning briefs to ChatGPT Pro users, aiming to shift the app from reactive chatbot to proactive assistant, OpenAI said.
- Starting Thursday, OpenAI will roll out ChatGPT Pulse to ChatGPT Pro subscribers on the $200-a-month Pro plan as a new tab in the ChatGPT mobile app.
- OpenAI frames Pulse as a shift for ChatGPT from reactive chatbot to proactive assistant that delivers timely, personalized briefs encouraging users to check the app first thing in the morning.
- Five to ten briefs are generated overnight by ChatGPT Pulse and delivered as visual cards that users can scan or expand, personalizing content using past chats, saved feedback, Gmail, Google Calendar, and the Curate tool.
- Because OpenAI is limited in server capacity, it constrains Pulse’s rollout while building data centers with Oracle and SoftBank; integrations are off by default as policy and safety teams test filtrations.
- Pulse positions ChatGPT as a step toward AI agents that could perform tasks like reservations, but the experimental feature may hallucinate and compete with Apple News and paid newsletters.
