On the ground in Portland: City remains calm despite protests at ICE facility

Protests over immigration enforcement have persisted since June, with legal actions against federal and local law enforcement and counterprotests emerging amid ongoing tensions.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The atmosphere was calm Friday outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Portland, Oregon.
