Court considers violent riots in Eritreans in The Hague

Today, 12 suspects are on trial in court in The Hague for violence against the police during an Eritrean festival on February 17.

Eritreans on trial for riots around The Hague's Opera Center on February 17 deny intending to commit violence. They told the court on Friday that they wanted to peacefully demonstrate against the supporters' party for the government in Eritrea, but they were challenged. According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, two of them earlier called on social media for 'bloodshed'.
