EDO STATE, NIGERIA, JUL 19 – The Obidient Movement criticized Governor Okpebholo for undermining constitutional rights and warned he would be accountable if harm comes to Peter Obi amid a pattern of intimidation.
- On Saturday in Edo State, the Obidient Movement declared Governor Monday Okpebholo a threat to national unity, warning he would be held accountable if any harm befell Peter Obi.
- In a viral video circulating in Benin City, Governor Monday Okpebholo warned Peter Obi he must seek security clearance before entering Edo State, saying his safety would not be guaranteed otherwise.
- The Obidient Movement called on the Inspector General of Police and DSS to note the threat, emphasized Obi’s constitutional right to freedom of movement and association, citing Section 41 of the 1999 Constitution.
