From 11 August, Norway will begin calling foreign-registered oil tankers in the Norwegian exclusive economic zone to request voluntary insurance information. The measure can reduce the environmental risk of shipping in Norwegian waters and contributes to Norway, together with our neighboring countries, actively participating in the European cooperation to combat shadow fleet traffic.
