North Port Police say everyone is safe after 'potential threat' was reported

UPDATE: Police said this was a swatting call.ORIGINAL: The North Port Police Department said its officers responded to Lamarque Elementary out of an abundance of caution, after a potential threat was reported on Wednesday morning.Police said students and staff are safe.Officers and Sarasota County Schools Police ensured the school was secure, and put the school on a temporary lockdown.There is no indication of an active threat, according to NPPD.
