Nobel Peace Prize winner Navi Pillay called the US sanctions announced against the International Criminal Court (ICC) “inaudible and unacceptable,” imposed after the Norwegian Nobel Committee announced that the former judge would receive that award. U.S. President Donald Trump said that the 85-year-old jurist is a “liberal person whom no one knows.”
Navi Pillay, former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and this year's Nobel Peace Prize laureate, criticized U.S. sanctions against the International Criminal Court (ICC) as "unprecedented and unacceptable." According to AFP, Pillay attended the Nobel ceremonies in Oslo, Norway, via video link from Nuremberg, Germany, on the 10th (local time).
