- A senior ministry source confirmed the directive is effective immediately, and the ministry will simplify visas, granting priority multi-entry visas to office-bearers of International Sports Governing Bodies for up to five years.
- The policy also says India will honour multilateral events under the Olympic Charter, with the BCCI as official host of the 19-match tournament while bilateral play with Pakistan remains suspended until 2027.
