The nitrogen reduction plans presented by the cabinet on Friday offer a perspective for nature in the Netherlands, according to Staatsbosbeheer. "The nature reserves are not in good shape. The package of measures is therefore more than welcome," says General Director Boudewijn Revis.
With the presented nitrogen plan, the cabinet is taking ‘targeted steps’ towards a solution to the nitrogen problem. This is the view of business organizations VNO-NCW and MKB-Nederland. According to them, the cabinet is opting for a package that allows nature to recover and gives entrepreneurs a clear view of permits for the first time in a long time. Next week, the House of Representatives will debate the cabinet plans.
