WALES, AUG 4 – The Church of Nigeria condemned the election of Rt. Rev. Cherry Vann as Archbishop of Wales, citing a departure from biblical teachings and urging global Anglicans to uphold traditional doctrine.
- On Wednesday, 30th July 2025, Cherry Vann, bishop of Monmouth, was elected as the 15th Archbishop of Wales at St. Pierre church near Chepstow, becoming the first woman and lesbian to hold the post.
