In Niger, the M62 movement officially launched its Garkouwar Kassa initiative at the beginning of the week, on Monday 4 August, or "Patrito Shields". It was a recommendation of the Advisory Council of Refoundation (CCR) to train and equip volunteers to accompany the authorities in the defence of the national territory. The initiative of the M62 citizen movement is debated. Other civil society actors are concerned about the creation of militias.
