At the Federal Party Congress of the FDP in Berlin, the entrepreneur Nicole Büttner was elected as the new Secretary General of the Liberals. She received 80 percent of the delegates' votes and thus follows the former Secretary General Buschmann. He had consequently resigned to the FDP defeat in the Bundestag election in February.
