Idris Elba officially entered the British legend. This December 30th, the actor was elevated to the rank of knight by King Charles III during the traditional New Year's Eve promotion. If the 53-year-old actor is celebrated worldwide for his roles in Luther or The Wire, it is above all his fierce commitment to white-armed violence and his action with the youth that he is now worth to become Sir Idris.
The King of England has distinguished, as every year, 1,157 people who "put the general interest ahead of themselves," according to Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
