New role. Scholz swaps government bench for a seat among parliamentarians

Tuesday's inaugural session of the Bundestag following February's snap elections meant that outgoing German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had to give up his seat in the government benches to the seats in the plenary reserved for ordinary members of parliament. Leading German media outlets did not miss the change.
